GRIEFWORKS IS IN NEED OF GROUPS WITH TALENTED COOKS TO VOLUNTEER TO PREPARE AND SERVE HOME-COOKED MEALS TO OUR GRIEVING CHILDREN AND
THEIR FAMILIES ON TUESDAY OR THURSDAY EVENINGS.
GriefWorks, the free children's grief support services sponsored by ChristianWorks for Children, serves children and teens ages 5-18 and their family members who have recently experienced the death of a loved one. Volunteer groups are needed to prepare some comfort food meals for these families on the nights that they attend GriefWorks sessions. The meals show support of the mourning families and relieve some of the stress the children and families are experiencing.
You can give encouragement to these hurting children and their families by preparing and serving your favorite recipes. Groups are encouraged to volunteer in order to share the responsibility of preparing, delivering and serving the meals on either Tuesday or Thursday night prior to GriefWorks sessions. Meals for 25-35 are served to the GriefWorks families and volunteers from 6:30-& 7:00 p.m.
